Healthy Holiday Substitutions.
Have you started thinking about your Thanksgiving day feast? You should because it’s already the second week of November which means Turkey Day is right around the corner!
It’s easy to pack in a ton of tasty (and not so healthy) ingredients into your holiday meals. Bleached flour, high-fructose corn syrup, margarine. The list goes on and on!
We encourage you to find healthy substitutes for some of these ingredients. There are endless ways to prepare and serve a delicious meal without doing harm to your body. For example, use vanilla, nutmeg, or cinnamon Instead of sugar. Or try using oils instead of butter or margarine. You can also use other herbs and spices instead of (too much) salt.
Try a few of these little tricks and we bet your guest won’t even know the difference. Everyone will truly be happy AND healthy.
