Meditation Workshop at Iron Butterfly: EXPLORING MEDITATION

Our Exploring Meditation workshop will guide you towards this goal. We will explore the various forms of meditation and how they can benefit you. You will learn how to control your thoughts, emotions, actions, and quiet the noise in your mind to attain clarity of thought.
Please join Jennifer Plaus at Iron Butterfly Pilates Studio for an Exploring Mediation Workshop. Jennifer is a certified Values Analyst (Axiological Practitioner, Behavior Practitioner, Motivators Practitioner and Spectrum Practitioner). Over the course of the workshop, Jennifer will guide you through breath-awareness meditation to help you reach your goal of living more consciously.
The workshop will begin with an introduction on the true benefits of Meditation and what it can do for you. Jennifer will teach you Mindfulness breathing, allowing your thoughts to pass in and pass out of your mind throughout your practice. She will also cover various types of Meditation. See a few below:
- Yoga Nidra: Yogic Conscious Deep Sleep
- Metta Meditation: Loving-Kindness Meditation with a mantra devoted to self and a series of others
- Walking Meditation
- Mindfulness (in the tradition of Jon Kabat Zinn)
Throughout the workshop, there will be time devoted to practice Mediation. We will discuss how you can create space in your mind and learn the true meaning of responding rather than reacting.
Join us, Tuesday nights at 7:30pm, beginning September 6 – October 18 (excluding 10/11).
